Rooted in Family, Forged by Necessity
High Peak Seeds isn’t just a business; it’s a legacy born from necessity and a passion passed from father to son. My name is Ferron, and I run this company with my dad, Michael. Our journey into cannabis cultivation began unexpectedly when my father was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Seeking relief and a natural path, he started growing cannabis for his own medicinal use. The care he put into his plants was evident, and as word of his success spread, he began helping other medical users in the community. As I got older and was already exploring the world of cannabis myself, my father saw a shared interest.
He brought me into the grow room, teaching me everything he knew. What started as helping my dad quickly blossomed into a deep-seated passion. Working alongside him, I discovered a profound connection to the plant and the art of cultivation. This shared experience is the true foundation of our company. Our family’s story with the land goes back even further. My parents met while my father was attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks. They later moved to Oregon
During my early years, we lived on our 80-acre family farm where my parents cultivated beautiful gladiola flowers and raised cattle. Though I was too young to work the farm then, the memories of that stuck with me. Years later, we were fortunate enough to get the farm back. As a young man fresh out of college, returning to that same land to grow cannabis for the medical and emerging legal market was a powerful, full-circle experience.
